The hoose fell to a 3-2 away defeat against a spirited West Calder team.

The hoose had a strong penalty claim in the 12th minute when Mark Duffy was brought down in the box by West Calders goal keeper only to be waved away by the referee.

The best chance came in the 34th minute where some fine pressing play by David Bannerman seen the ball fall to Iain Diack just outside the box which was sent wide of the open goal.

Surviving this West Calder went straight up the pitch and opened the scoring on the 35th minute to take a 1-0 lead in to half time.

Half time seen the hoose make some changes with Diack being replaced by Blair MacDonald, Murray replaced by Jack Paton and Okocha replaced by Steven Lambie.

It didn’t take long for the changes to show as the hoose equalized in the 50th minute with Duffy taking his opportunity following fine hold up play by MacDonald.

West Calder re took the lead in the 54th minute with a fine strike from inside the box despite the hoose pleas for offside and extended their lead in the 60th minute with a similar move down the left side which was struck just inside the box.

The hoose brought one back in the 62nd minute when MacDonald struck to bring the score back to 3-2 but despite some hard pressing West Calder managed to see the game out.
