A warm thanks to Kilsyth Rangers FC for hosting our cross league pre season friendly which was a rather competitive affair.
The game was finely balanced, with both teams having fair opportunities to take the lead but for some good saves being made by both goalkeepers.
The momentum of the fixture turned around the 20th minute or so which seen Sam Ghoul red carded for 2 soft yellow card offences following which Kilsyth quickly took the lead from a cut back in to the box from down the right wing.
The second half brought some more pressures on to Fauldhouse following the sending off of Jack Paton for a straight red offence around the 70 minute mark.
Despite the number differences, some solid defending and fine saves by Jacob kept Kilsyth at bay however the pressures eventually told with Kilsyth scoring their 2nd from stretching the play down the left side followed by their 3rd from the penalty spot.
All in all a good run out against a well organised team with some players getting more game time in their legs than they expected.
All the best for Kilsyth for the rest of the season.
