A competitive fixture that seen Rosyth take the lead in the 5th minute which despite claims of offside the referee waved play on from which Rosyth slotted away.

Fauldhouse reply was almost instant which seen them equalise from some fine hold up and link play by MacDonald which released Bannerman  down the left side where he cut in to the box to level the tie in the 7th minute.

Fauldhouse took the lead in the 13th minute with a almost identical move between MacDonald and Bannerman with Bannerman getting on to the through pass and rounding the keeper.

Half time

Rosyth FC 1-2 Fauldhouse United FC 2

The 2nd half seen some forced changes for Fauldhouse which seen Jack Paton come out for the 2nd half replacing MacDonald due to injury.

Rosyth started the better of the 2 teams as they pressed for the equalizer.

The real momentum of the tie change when what appeared to be a goal was not awarded when the Rosyth keeper carried the ball over the line when taking in a cross which was not given by the official.

This galvanised Rosyth even more as they continued to pile on the pressure camping Fauldhouse in their own half with Fauldhouse resorting to playing the long ball in an attempt to clear their lines.

Rosyth’s efforts were eventually rewarded when they struck with 5 minutes to go when a cross in to the box from a free kick was met with a header looping over Wallace in the Fauldhouse goal.

The fixture was put to bed on the 89th minute when another speculative ball was delivered in to the box which was converted given Rosyth the lead which end a rather disappointing 2nd half by the hoose.
