The Hoose were knocked out of the League cup following a 1-4 defeat by 2nd division side Peebles Rovers.
The Hoose found themselves 0-1 down after a few minutes when a wicked deflection from a free kick found its way in to the back of Weatherby’s net.
The game changed in the 20th minute when Sam Ghoul saw a straight red card for an off the ground challenge.
The Hoose fell further behind when Peebles capitalised from a dropped ball in the box taking the half time score to 0-2.
Despite playing the fixture with 10 men the Hoose looked to be in the ascendency and brough the fixture back within reach from a header by Bannerman taking pulling one back. 1-2.
As the Hoose pressed for the equaliser Peebles took advantage of the numbers and press finding spaces on the counter eventually scoring a further twice to progress to the next round.
All the best to Peebles for the rest of the season.
The Hoose dust themselves down and prepare for the King Cup fixture against Dunbar United on Tuesday.
