A very competitive and entertaining fixture which seen Edinburgh College FC take all 3 points with a 1-0 win at the John Brysdon Arena.
The only goal of the game came in the 1st half under some controversy which seen Edinburgh, despite the Hoose pleas being awarded a corner from which appeared to be a clear foul with a 2 handed push on the Hoose captain Ritchie Kirwan.
The in swinging set play was delivered into the box where it was met by the unmarked Jack Sharples who headered home from close range.
More controversy ensued when the Hoose should have had a penalty directly after when a free kick was sent it to the box seen Hoose defender Stewart Thomson taken clean out in the box by the Edinburgh goalkeeper only to be waved away by the official.
The 2nd half seen little chances for either side and the Hoose can feel slightly aggrieved that they never took anything from the fixture.
